 Many bands including a stunning performance by a dixieland jazz group... They are performing the classic song... WAR (ugh) what is it good for ?(absolutely nothing) BIG FUN for the entire family... Sunny day, happy friends...  The Humboldt County SAMBA PARADE BAND also marched with us... Drums... cowbells... Mardi Gras costumes... AND It was all to help end the war in IRAQ... FUN and Spiritually fullfilling...   Thanks to all who showed up AGAIN this year...   At the end of the March there was a concert by a punk rock band and many speeches... 
The event was heavily documented by the media... both PRO and just plain folks...  A classic "KODAK MOMENT" caught on digital camera to be emailed to friends and family... Helping to spread the word... Gee, It's time to END THE WAR IN IRAQ... One thing that really needs to be done here in the good old USA is: We ought to have MAJORITY RULE ELECTIONS... The President should be the person that gets the most votes in the Presidential election... Seems FAIR... We don't have that here in the USA... We should abolish the ELECTORAL COLLEGE SYSTEM... That flawed and obsolete system let the wrong man become president... Al Gore got the MAJORITY OF THE VOTES... We do have an opportunity to flush away most of the members of congress this year. 435 House seats and 1/3 of the Senate are up for re-election... Remember to Vote against ANYONE that funded the War...  I am concerned that this war will end up costing the USA SO MUCH MONEY that we will go bankrupt...  We are required to pay back the people that loan us the money to finance this war... That gives the people that loan us money power to control our destiny...  Ever notice that our Government is Unnaturally Friendly to Saudi-Arabia... Well, they have monetary power over us... we have to do what they want or they won't lend us any MORE Money... We are just PUPPETS... Like MARDI-GRAS figures just dancing to our masters slightest whim...  2,300 dead American Soldiers... More dying as I type this... More pictures... It's an alternative to the redwood logging industry and the fishing industry which have both declined in recent years. The high profit trees have all been cut and the fish are almost extinct... |
